Part of the Major Minor Process. Determine is Department Exceptions need to be created. This is done using the SISAdmin \ Admin Functions \ Program Exceptions window. The default behavior is that students cannot add a program from a department they already have an open Major Program in. For example if you are major in Philosophy (open LA3001) you cannot also add a second major or minor in philosophy (they are part of the ‘L30’ department). The Program Exception table lets you list allowable combinations of programs that would otherwise not be allowed (it can also let you block combinations if that is needed).
