Administrative codes are used to support specific purposes and are user-defined fields. New Code Types are easily created if determined to be useful and unavailable elsewhere in SIS; contact the Office of the University Registrar.
Of particular importance is the Personal Email Address code type. This must be added with the student’s non-wustl email address to facilitate the automatic notification process for WUSTL Key activation. For more information see Password Info
Historical Note: This is where the old Dean’s Flag field that previously fed the mainframe SIS-1 system is located. Although SIS-1 is gone, the Dean’s Flag still feeds into WebFocus; only the first character or digit entered into the Code Value field on a Dean’s Flag here is recognized. The automatic creation of the Dean’s Flag records for everyone has been stopped.
